2x AA, Simple modes, around $25-30

Hi TFin04. I can highly recommend the lights over at the shiningbeam website. Have a look at the Caveman and the Spark lights. Both use 2xAA, push out around 280+ lumens and are around the price range mentioned.

Want Good throw and run on 18650

I also have to vote for the Olight M2X-UT. If it's throw you're after from a non-custom light, then this one will certainly bring a smile to your face.

    Flickering/PWM in new Fenix HL55

I just received mine today and there is no flicker at all. This is quite an impressive headlamp. I've tried it with an 18650 and CR123A's and works fine. I'm really liking this light; it's very comfortable to wear also.

    AAA/AA small under $25

Don't worry about taking the light back because of the 'bubbling' at the edge of the lens. This is normal for Led Lenser/Coast lights. The plastic lens is manufactured in a continuous strip, and this 'bubble' is where the thin plastic strip holds them together. The lens is simply snapped off and...

    DQG SPY ?

Mine just arrived and I have to say, this light is so tiny! It's just over an inch in length, has a brass reflector and is all flood, not much throw. But it certainly is bright for it's size! The threads were a little gritty but after a clean up and light greasing they are silky smooth now...

Sold/Expired Wtb - La Petite Killer

Might have a little trouble finding this. How about a Veleno Designs Quantum D2? It's a little bigger, but still a great light, small enough for a necklace, and easily obtainable.

    laser like throw possible aspherical?

In your requirements you selected you want to light up the entire field. This is more the job of a floody light, not a laser like light. I'd do +1 on the OSTS lights. The Nightmaster still has a lot of spill for my liking but it can certainly throw 300+ meters. I prefer the SmallSun light which...

What lights are similar to the jetbeam rrt-o raptor?

There is also the Niteye EYE10, which works almost the same as the rrt-01.

Fenix TK35 help. Must shake violently at times.

Hi daveandy1. First off, welcome to cpf. I cannot remember if the 2600 AW batteries have a flat top or have the button top on the positive end. If they are the flat top models, maybe try some batteries that have the button top (maybe 4 x CR123A's) to see if this might be the culprit. Just...

    Surefire Outdoorsman E2L AA Help!

Hi sniper. If you are after a great 2xAA light, I would suggest looking at the Shiningbeam 'Caveman'. It is certainly bright enough, build is top notch, runtime is excellent, and you can get it, with delivery costs well within your budget. Here is a review of it too...

Need another Thrower Big Gun Light !

Why not head on over to the one stop throw shop. Plenty of throwers there, or you could wait a while for the DEFT-X.

Anyone here using windows 8 that acutally likes it?

Like it on the Tablet. Hate it on the Desktop PC.

    Flood to Throw

Hi ThirstyTurtle. LED Lensers are OK but they might be outside your $50 price limit. I would personally not go the DX path as they are sometimes hit-and-miss, and you have to wait a L O N G T I M E to get anything from them. I would recommend going over to shiningbeam dot com. You would be...
