    2C Cell light.

I'm tired of jacking with my company purchasing people on non standard(cr123) batteries. If its not AAA, AA, C, or D then it is basically impossible to get batteries and we go through quite a few. We really need rechargeables but that is just too big a hassle with the purchasing dept, so who...

Looking for an Inexpensive Camping Flashlight

Get a Rayovac Sportman Extreme LED Lantern, and a Maglite 2D Rebel, if weight is not a big problem, and both run on D batteries.

The poor flashaholics top 10 for 2010?

Romisen RC-N3. Very versatile and makes a great cap light, still mad my daughter lost mine on Halloween. Romisen RC-G2. Great thrower for a single A but had a little trouble with the switch. Home Depot Maglite LED Value pack. 2D cell and 2AA LED lights both for $29.95 everyday price. Tank...

    Maglite Rebel 3D

Academy Sports seems to have the best "every day" price on Maglites with the 2 and 3D Rebel at $24.95 and the 2AA and 3AA muti-mode at $17.95. I keep forgetting to go by Radio Shack and get the 2C Maglite for $10.95 before they are all gone. I like the 2C size much better than the D size lights.

What should I look for in an Emergency Light for a Car?

I have a Home Depot Husky 2D light in my truck's driver door pocket that I paid 15 bucks for with a coupon. The protruding fins and sharp edges make it a pretty wicked looking weapon and it is about as bright as a 2D light can be. I don't like strobes or even multi mode lights, just a simple...

Why do Surefire's cost so much?

A G2 Surefire is only about 35 bucks. Who else makes a high quality, heavy duty, combat proven light that you would bet your life on for that kind of money? The 6P is only a bit more and it is possibly one of the toughest and most durable flashlights made. I can't answer your question on the...

    Anybody have children already flashaholics

My 9 year old daughter likes to play "CSI" and she has a kit with all sorts of things in it and the only thing she was missing was a flashlight. I let her use my Romisen AA RG-D2 and she later ask if she could have it. She is so sweet I had to say YES and that made her whole day!

please help a newbie with a problem.

The Vector POB spotlight is pretty small and a very powerful thrower for under $50. There are a lot of powerful lights that will really impress the hicks but are heavy enough that you will probably start leaving them behind. A small Fenix TK11R2 for about $85 should be adequate for nearly all of...

    Brightest light with rechargables

There are not many tactical lights that are small enough to hang off your neck and jog. If she wore a sports style Neoprene fanny pack she could carry a 6P size light or TK11 with a decent strike bezel and strobe. Since she's a runner, the strobe might buy her a couple seconds to run away from...

First Post and Want a 700+ Lumen Torch

The MTE P-7 is supposed to be a pretty good cheap light from DX and very bright, but I don't think a P-7 will throw as good as an R-2.

    AA for Pistol??

Before dedicated weapon lights were popular there were several items that could attach a flashlight to a gun. I remember magazine base plate mounts that would hold a 2AA Maglite. Also mounts that would go under the dust cover, but I was never big on gun mounted lights, I might be willing to try...

    Who's best?

Surefires have been in combat conditions around the globe for many years and they are proven and they are the choice of many professionals who trust their life to a flashlight. There are other lights that are very duable and some brands may even be better, but if I had to pick one brand to bet...

How many, and which lights, would be necessary to fill all your flashlight needs?

Fenix LOD Fenix TK-11R2 .....and that's about covers everything. But a TK-40 and a HID spotlight might also be helpful, and a Surefire Weapon light, and......

    What light for school camp?

A lot of people like head lamps and I've had several, but never used them, for some reason. A small AAA light like a Fenix LOD that you can hold or clip to your hat would be what I would prefer. Then maybe a Surefire G2L or G2 with and R2 upgrade, something that can get wet and put out a lot of...
