    Also on an airfield at night you are suppose to have a flashlight on, pointed down when walking around, strobe can be useful and lifesaving. A landing zone can be marked too, some flashlights are brighter than most car headlights.

    I use 2 Fenix LD20 (s) 180 lumens 2xAA 4 brightness levels. the stobe is good for daytime and lower light safety situations. For off road and when Im going fast away from traffic.

    Would have to agree with the others, I EDC a A3 (upgrade 3 mode) stainless (30$). Also have a titanium version but it didnt have a clip, its not a good clip but you can reverse it and clip onto the visor of a cap.     Don't miss out on the option for a R4 version of the Fenix LD20, 205 lumens max, they are more efficient and brighter. I have two LD20 Q5(s)(180 lumens max), really like em a lot. Sounds like they could use a headlamp too. Please DO NOT get them a 3xAAA one.:candle:

    What bugs me about LED Lenser lights are the switches, if you put them in your pocket or touch them to anything they will stay on. I doubt they are very efficient, get something with a Cree LED.     What light do you keep in your car?

    Fenix LD20, 180 lumen 2xAA, for the availability of batteries. A small 2xAAA, headlamp, its been there for many years, needs to be updated, Also need a headband for the LD20. On a trip 4xC Maglight, and ITP Polestar, 6xAA, 700 Lumens. Various headlamps.

    Which small cheap Flashlight?

    For a little more itp has a stainless version of the A3 EOS, small aluminum threads are fragile. I also have a titanium version, it didnt come with a clip, which can be reversed to clip on a baseball cap. Its not a great clip though, but not bad.
