1.2 volt NiMH vs 1.5 volt alkaline cells

yes very useful You should also add a "heavy duty" cell in the comparison. especially @1A load P.S.: http://www.ife.ee.ethz.ch/~zinniker/batak/ideal/index.html

Interesting behavior of LED-LENSER V² when using with NiMh batteries!

@krullebolle i read a lot positive comments on 3D Maglite drop in replacements. --- OH its soo bright, it was definitely worth the 30 euro +5 EURO shipping. i will immediately buy it again. -- 1 year later this person reported that the LED didn´t turn on anymore. Also if the LED won´t burn...

Rebel [LED] Alliance: Impressions + Review Directory

Re: Rebel [LED] Alliance: What's it like in your hands? i hope so. got my MTE rebel100 outdoor it´s noticeable brighter than my first luxeon torch i bought 2 years ago. the naked numbers are ~400 vs ~1300 lux @ 1meter. also LEDs made in 2007 still wash out colors outside... green/brown...

    Rebel LED 5 modes?

if you can buy the fenix or the rexlight 2.1 compare the runtime... the MTE 5mode is ~1-4 Hours only. unfortunately my wallet has a "low capacity" and a "natural high internal resistance" so I stick with lower grade. what you get here is ok.. but not as spectacular as a fenix. L1D Results...

    Rebel LED 5 modes?

i also put old batteries in. I tried a LR6 with unloaded voltage ~1,3V (with 1,1V within a few sec. @ ~2,5ohm load ) and a discharged NiMH 1,15V unloaded (with 0,9-1V within a few sec. @ ~2,5ohm load ) both batteries fired the torch up. Seems it doesn´t have a startup problem so far. That’s a...

    Poll: Color vs Brightness

since I held a yellow color filter in front of my coolwhite torchs and light up a shrub it was significant dimmer but as Trinity already wrote for me it was easy to discern what is green and what is brown. when i take a look in the cree datasheet.. www.cree.com/products/pdf/XLamp7090XR-E.pdf...

Big initial disappointment in my Ultrafire C3

yes some torchs have problems if voltage is too low. Would be nice to know if this occur on 1 cell. specially with an alkaline. I want to know what runtime can be expected with 2xAlkaline (LR6). I guess if driven with 2 cells the risk is high that the weaker NiMH will be over discharged.

    LED COLOR RENDITION RANT

yes we old guys... no iam twenty 5 with my 2 Luxeon torchs i also suffers under this phenomen. both tend to be yellow tinted and i have to look twice to say for sure that´s green grass and thats mud. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=164966 the Mag5D is the reference...
