    I bought the 369 at Walmart and a few weeks later, one of the LEDs became intermittent. I had been using it for handyman projects, and liked the tripod and nice flood of light it provided, but took it back based on the intermittent LED.

    Modamag makes a 4AA to 1D battery holder. Try that instead of the 3AA holder for a bit more light. I have one in a Mag 1D, loaded with lithium AAs, powering a krypton Mag 4 cell bulb - makes a very nice light. Or you could overvoltage a 3 cell bulb for even more light.

    Try a Mag 5 cell Krypton bulb - it'll be even brighter due to the overvoltage. (krypton bulbs handle overvoltage better than Xenon bulbs, I've heard. And they're less $.) That's how I have one of my 2D mags setup, and I like it a lot.
