Flying with Spare Laptop Lithium-ion Batteries on Carry-On

I know there had been a few threads about this topic, but not specifically about people's experiences flying with spare lithium-ion laptop batteries in carry-ons. I have read TSA's website saying loose batteries are not allowed. I have a laptop with 3 batteries that I wish to bring on an...

    bad day for someone....

I wonder what do they mean when they say battery charger? The only thing I can think of is a battery that charges other batteries.

Batteries and Airport Security - Update

The extra laptop Li-Ion batt pack, was it loose in your bag or is it in some sort of a special spare batt carrier? Also, when going through security, did you have to take out the extra Li-Ion batt from your bag or did you leave it inside your bag?

Batteries and Airport Security - Update

I know this topic has been hashed and re-hashed many times before. But I want an update from anyone who has flown recently (last month or so). Any changes, any of your batteries, rechargeable, primary, lithium, NiMh, extra laptop batteries, etc got confiscated or any trouble at all? How about...

    Recycling Batteries - FYI

I have been throwing away used batts, all types, since I found it hard to find a place that takes these for recycling where I live (Houston Tx - yes, yes the city "may" take these but I found it impossible to find information online ... ). Today, I found out that Battery Plus stores...

Has anyone flown with tac-style flashlights since the Detroit incident??

But the list does not include "keys". Does that mean you cannot bring your keychain with you? Does something "attached" to you allowed? By attached I mean cell phone in a cell holder/cell holster attached to your belt. How about a light in a holster attached to your belt? How about a pen in...

    cordless phone batts?

Interesting. I never thought about this. Maybe some cordless do this - constantly charge. But my cordless came with NiMH and it has says "Charging" or "Fully Charged" on the console. I assume once it says fully charged, it stops charging.

Has anyone flown with tac-style flashlights since the Detroit incident??

Re: Airport security & traveling w/flashlights & batteries? Thanks to the Christmas underwear bomber, flying into the US is a bit more difficult now. I heard that everyone can only bring one carry-on and should check-in the rest of their stuff and/or can only bring with them on their carry-on...
