    Non-dimmable LED bulbs are dimmable

The Leviton 6672-1LW dimmer just slides from off to low through high.

2017: fully enclosed fixture A19 LED, >800 lumen?

Those Maxlite bulbs are listed at topbulb.com: https://www.topbulb.com/product-brand/maxlite/maxlite-led-lamps/maxlite-a-lamps?watts=30023 Bulbs.com has the best bulb search filtering of any retailer I've found, but didn't come up with anything outside your list. I bought some Feit Electric...

Pot/Ceiling Lights - LED vs Halogen

I also have Cree LED downlights that I'm happy with. With a few exceptions LEDs won't become "warmer" when they are dimmed, but remain the same color temperature.

    Increasing lumens in ceiling fan

Probably. Wattage limits are limits on actual watts, not equivalent watts, so 7 < 40 is fine. I say "probably" because if the bulbs are completely enclosed by the fixture you should find bulbs rated for enclosed fixtures, and if it is on a dimmer the bulbs should be dimmer-compatible.

good 4 foot LED shop light suggestions? Or a place to look for reviews?

Instead of replacing the fixtures, how about keeping them and installing replacement LED bulbs? These are well reviewed: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SSNPGSC/?tag=cpf0b6-20 If your fixtures have electronic ballasts those bulbs should go in without any rewiring. If you've got older magnetic...

Help Needed with Security Light Replacement

How many watts is the current bulb? If it is only 100 watts, producing around 1300 lumens, then the Warmoon LED light at 900 lumens may be roughly equivalent in brightness since it is directional. If the current T3 bulb has a higher wattage than 100, 900 lumens won't be nearly as bright. With...

    Strange adivce from garage company

I have a pair of Philips 100W "Basic Bulb" LEDs in my garage door opener to no apparent ill effect. They are certainly not expensive: $12.97 for a 2-pack at Home Depot locally.

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

So far as I can tell the Feit 60w bulbs I just bought come on instantly. I compared one against a non-TW Cree BR30 and both turned on at the same time (per my eyes). My Ikea Ledare bulbs come on noticeably after the Feit bulb, with the Feit bulb coming on at the middle of the toggle switch...

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

I stopped by Costco today and found they had four-packs of 90 CRI 60w equivalent bulbs http://www.feit.com/led-lamps/enhance_led_a-bulbs/bpom60-927-led for $15 per pack with an $11 utility instant rebate on up to three packs, so I bought three packs. It is hard to resist $1/bulb. The...

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

Costco sells 92 CRI 60W equivalent A19 bulbs for $5/bulb in six packs online, and I believe three packs in-store. I have not tried them...

    High CRI and high efficacy

Thanks for pointing this out. I got the specifications, including the supposed suitability for enclosed fixtures, from EarthLED's site. @CoveAxe: I was put off by having to pay $9.99 to ship one bulb, but I found a free shipping coupon code for EarthLED and ordered one.

    High CRI and high efficacy

I've just noticed a bulb with both high CRI (92) and high efficacy (89 lumens/watt). It is the Green Creative Titanium Crisp 4.0. It is also rated for fully enclosed fixtures, has an R9 rating of 60, and is dimmable. Overall the specifications are very impressive. It is an A19 bulb 60 watt...

    Cree Recessed Downlights (CR6 v. DRDL6)

I have no experience with the DRDL6, but I installed CR6s in our basement last spring. I'm quite happy with them, except that I paid nearly twice the current price just 9 months ago. They dim well on a Lutron dimmer designed for use with LEDs, which is important since our primary TV is in the...

Ikea Ledare 1000 lm LED Light Bulb: mid 2014 purchase

I'm glad to see that these are more efficient than the Ledare 600 lm bulbs. Do these also have a higher than normal CRI? The 600 lm bulbs are listed as having a CRI of >87.
