    why are my exterior bulbs burning out so fast?

    I had this problem with the front porch light of my previous house (built in the late 50's), although I didn't have to change it as frequently as you seem to. I had read somewhere that corrosion build up on the contacts of the socket can cause excessive heat, causing the light to burn out more...

    I would like a pocketable EDC - similar in size to something like a jets22 blackbird or Arc LS w/ twisty - but with a an easier to use interface. The "twist to turn on" would be similar, but instead of a threaded head which needs to be twisted numerous times to access multiple brightness levels...
