Help me Understand Why SureFire are so Expensive

I would have to agree. It is sad that most kids these days expect everything to be given to them by mommy and daddy, and waste so much time doing nothing constructive with their lives. Even sadder that so many parents these days let this happen. I think the greatest cause of decline in modern...

Help me Understand Why SureFire are so Expensive

I always had the impression that Fenix lights were made overseas, by an overseas company. Reading this post that does not seem to be the case. Is Fenix an American company? Are their products made here in the US?

Help me Understand Why SureFire are so Expensive

I was a Scout/Sniper in USMC, recently retired, and can assure you that SureFires are issued. Problem is, they are not issued to every infantryman, which is a shame. The elite and spec-ops divisions get outfitted with just about anything they want, just like Nike outfits pro athletes.

Help me Understand Why SureFire are so Expensive

Not true- PentagonLight is just as dedicated as SureFire in supplying the military with weapolights, and their products are every bit as good as SureFire. Also, Streamlight, and Insight Technologies are military suppliers as well.

Thanks Chronos and ttran. I think that I am leaning toward the CREEmator right now, still undecided.

    CREEmator vs. Tranzilla

No, this is not a title for a Japanese monster movie! :D I am wanting an extremely bright LED head for my Surefire E2E, and have narrowed my search down to one of these 2 milkyspit heads, but am undecided as to which one. I want whatever is brightest, with the most amount of throw. The...

Does anyone regularly use a MagLED with Lithium Batteries?

I have considered the Eneloops, but am wondering how they hold up and perform in temperature extremes. Many of my lights are left in my vehicles, or are used year round when hunting, camping, geocaching, etc. I need them to work when they are frozen or scorching hot, and sitting in a glovebox...

Does anyone regularly use a MagLED with Lithium Batteries?

I have a couple of AA LED MagLites that I have been using with only L91 lithiums (e2 Energizer), as I do with all my lights. I have not had any problems. Did not realize that Mag advises against them, but I never read the instructions on anything. These are my two favorite LED headlamps. I use...

    Fenix L0D Q4 - Brightest 1xAAA Flashlight I've Seen!

I have an Atwood tactical whistle that I mostly use to call my kids in from outside- we live on over 200 acres and it works well- solid stainless and very, very loud. I'm sure you have seen those, eh? Don't know of anything that compares to them.

    Help me select a 1 x AA flashlight ...

I would also recommend the Inova X1. I use mine a lot as it is enough light for most general tasks. And it works well with alkalines, although I use L91's in mine. My absolute favorite single AA light is my PEAK Kilimanjaro UP. I almost always have this light with me, and it is just right for...

    LED head for Surefire E2E

I'm looking at getting either a CREEmator or Tranzilla head, once I have it, I will post pics comparing the beams. I hope the L1's head survives until then! Can't seem to keep it off of the E2E. :D
