$200 to spend. Looking for brightest 18650 light.

I'd suggest the Eagletac T20C2 or 4Sevens Maelstrom G5. T20C2 will be close to half the price, but both around around 350 lumens out the front and both will leave you extra money for batteries. For a duty light replacement, either one will fit nicely in a holster without being too heavy or bulky.

Would like a high end AA/AAA light

You have to be careful with the words "high end" on this forum... ;)

Will you put the battery inside the flashlight if you won't use it ?

If you know for sure you won't be using it anytime soon and putting it in storage, I'd take the batteries out, regardless of if they're alkaline, lithium, etc. I leave batteries in "emergency lights" but swap them out every 6 months or so.

What is the best LED light for medical use?

Preon 2 neutral is the way to go. I use mine every shift almost as much as I use my stethoscope. One click (on-low) to check pupillary reflex, quick half-click (med) to check nasopharynx, and a last half-click (high) to check the oropharynx. The order of the output levels (low-med-high) and...

    Best flashlight for travel?

Nice post with great pics that really shows the versatility of the Zebralight! I too carry a H31 for hands-free use, as well as my good ol EX10 for general/low light, and a P20C2 as the "big gun". Finish off with a good supply of CR123's and all the bases are pretty much covered.

Dad's Birthday! Need an impressive throw, in a 1" or less diameter light.

Any specific reason for the <1" head? The P20C2 is a good choice, but you'll get significantly more throw out of a head that's a little bigger like the T100C2.

Break the tie, please! - Pocket carry tactical

    1) Nitecore over the Fenix. Better/easier output switching (after you program it). Solid design. 2) Not a big fan of the Extreme. Feel it's larger than it needs to be. I would go with the Quark.

Do you carry a flashlight during the day?

I EDC a Fenix LD01 on the keychain, EX10 clipped to my scrubs and Preon 2 in the whitecoat. During the day, there are a lot of interior rooms in the hospital that have no windows and if the power went out, they would be completely dark.

    Which Surefire for EDC??

Go with the E1B. You'll want something small enough to carry with you without much difficulty. What's the point of an EDC if it's too bothersome to carry?

    Nitecore D10 / D11 as a keychain Light

I think it would be too big also... I used to EDC the fenix p1d (123Ax1). The length was okay but it was just too thick. I've also tried the EZAA and the diameter was also too big for my taste. I have a LD01 now and it's a perfect size, really wouldn't go larger than a AAA cell light, but it...

    EagleTac or JetBeam?

Depends what you're looking for. I think the Jetbeam M1X is one of the nicest lights I've owned. Obviously Surefire is top of the line, but comparing the M1X to the M3LT, I would much rather spend less than 1/3rd the money. Really great value IMO. In terms of the smaller holster or pocket...

Veleno Designs E-Series Tower Dropin Review

Nicest drop-in I've seen! Any more info on the heads they have for the EX10/D10?

Quark Turbo and 18650 body problems..

I "built" a quark tactical 18650 by ordering all the parts separately. The tailcap fit fine but the threads on the head didn't feel like it fit right and sounded "gritty" when I loosened and tightened it. Everything works fine now after putting some lubricant on the threads.
