Nitecore TIP Winter Edition Review (V2)

Looks like this offer still works, but only has the green and red option. To bad since I was looking for the blue and red one. I really wanted the CRI, but I can't seem to confirm what sellers has the version 2 or V1. So for the price I went with this one for now, maybe wait it out to make sure...

Eneloops: what charger do I need? (info and discussion thead)

I just picked up a Costco pack that had 8 AA, 4 AAA and the BQ-CC55 charger for $20. It had an instant $10 rebate, so this may not be the same for all Costco stores and Costco online is still $30. I've never had an eneloop get that warm when charging, but I can say this charger does get them...

Nitecore Tube and V54 TubeVN (5mm, rechargeable) review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

You can try and let me know, I own some plasti dip I just bought for another project. Just a caution, when I first got mine boosted I put little strips of electrical tape on the top and bottom across the led. It worked, but it got hot, so I removed them. Maybe the choice of leaving the top and...

Nitecore Tube and V54 TubeVN (5mm, rechargeable) review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

I had one in the keychain for a couple months now getting tossed around in the ignition, in and out of my pocket and haven't had an issue or see any wear on the body to be concerned about. They seem pretty tough.

TubeVN - Best Keychain Light (Must Have)

I would have said 385 or the same range 380-390. That's the most useful wavelength for most things but no the easiest/cheapest to find. I have one that's 390-405 and hope it stays under 400 since most polycarbonate glasses will block up to 400. But I have no way of testing.

    D40Cvn - Stubby Tank

Good question. I know the driver in my D40C has the lable of "D80A/D40A". The driver doesn't even say D40C on it. So since it's the same driver then the boost mod may be possable but the current boost will not be as big of an improvement if any using AA's due to the limitations of the amperage...

    D40Cvn - Stubby Tank

Vinh, just received the D40cVN power boost with 4500K XM-L2 LED's in the mail today. I'm charging my batteries now and waiting for nightfall before I fire up this one, but it looks great for my first Vinh light. Thanks

    *new* Sunwayman D80A and D40C

I just recevied my D40cVN versions with XM-L2 LED's at arround 4500K to 5000K with current boost. I'm charging the batteries now and waiting for night fall to light up the neighborhood. But I wanted to mention according to the manual first double click strobe, second double click SOS as you...

I'll take it. For sure with insurance and your signature. Debating on "thermal pad heat sinking for driver". How much difference does this make if any. You already mentioned in the thread that's its great handling the heat.

WTS - FDT (Flashlight Deals Today)

I've been watching the BRZ, I have a 13 legacy and love it in the snow. Test drove e brz last summer, also great. Handled better than the toyota version, and more adult sleek interior, better electronics, seat and all. I also like the WRX, but it was a tight fit for long drives for someone who...

UV led makes you see things

The light also uses the same drop in as the P60 from what I read, that's were I ordered the Orange Peal reflector. Should receive it soon and I hope it fits well.
