Koolranch, I'm still wondering what a "preflash intake low setting" is that you have issues with.
Anyway, I decided to brave the loneliness warned by shelm, and ordered this light last night. Shout-out to Bryan Chen of Shining Beam for shipping it out to me within about 12 hours of my placing...
Whoops--Sorry. I chose the wrong link. (I also goofed up on my first reply to your post) Thanks for your comment ecr. Here's a better link for the second charger.

Feel like a kid in a candy store. I think I like nearly everything about this light except the tail switch. I'm new here and can't seem to get very far with the search function, so apologize if anyone is yawning....
Any reviews on this particular flashlight?
Any other choices which are similar...
Thanks to all for your suggestions. I really do need all of the few criteria I listed for traveling. The Panasonic has a curious review which suggests it is dedicated to Panasonic batts only. The Sanyo charger unfortunately requires charging in pairs and has fairly bad & credible review due to...

I am looking for a 2-cell (4-cell if necessary) charger with independent channels--
