Looking for long throw Cree based weapon light

As I posted earlier, this is my personal weapon. The team is under budget constraints and I was looking for a light that the dept. could buy for the rest of the guys. Just disregard any further, and mods please delete this thread. I had no idea that I would meet with such negative sentiment...

Looking for long throw Cree based weapon light

LED is required because the recoil from the .308 eats anything else. By the time a shot is required in LE situations, tactical is pretty much out the window.

Looking for long throw Cree based weapon light

LE. We don't have weapons mounted night vision (budget again), so the only way to ensure target ID is to light it up. Ideally we'd have the team truck with boom lights, or a car spot light the place up, but we need an alternative method as well.

That's my personal weapon. Our team is under severe budget constraints.

Looking for long throw Cree based weapon light

Thanks for the replies so far. It's a DPMS LR-308, thus, shock is a factor. It will eat incans all day, even shock isolated bezels. My KL1 head has withstood it so far. Budget w/ mount would be under $200, which is why I'm not looking at SF right now. That $35 Cree thrower is just insane...

Looking for long throw Cree based weapon light

Hi all. Haven't posted here in a while, but I need a quick recommendation. Our sniper team is in the process of switching over to semi-auto rifles for a number of reasons and we need a good light source that isn't too expensive. I'm thinking of something Cree based (just bought a P1D, holy...

    Surefire L1 for $79.95

Sporting goods chains have been selling green lights with the idea that it is the new hunter's safety color.

Re: Ever hear of digilight USA flashlights before? Folks over at GT are liking these. Anyone here received their T&E units yet?

    The Surefire L4 owners club

I love my L4! Haven't gotten around to getting Pila's yet, but I still have a case of Sanyo CR123's to go through. Piece of cake to put a McE2S in a Z57. I didn't like the feel though. Too much space between the boot and the switch. Felt mushy. Trim or standard Aleph tailcap is much better.

    Surefire X200

I see that this thread pre-dates my arrival on the forum. I'd like to throw my $0.02 in though. I've had an X200 for about 9 months, and it has lived on my duty weapon (Glock 23) the entire time. I have trained with it during night fire and SWAT entry work. It has gone with me on building...

    LEO First Impressions: L4/McE2S Tangent

Have been EDCing the L4/McE2S for a few weeks now. It's been getting a ton of use, including a search warrant on a meth lab and related vehicles a few nights ago. The light was on for hours and had no problems. Had it clipped to the brim of my hat a few times and got strange looks from the...

Is this the World's Brightest Flashlight>?

Re: Is this the World\'s Brightest Flashlight>? I've heard that the Border Patrol are using these to bleach the clothes of illegals as they cross so they can be identified during daylight hours.

RANT: Why no LED lamps for Surefire G2/6P etc...?

Re: RANT: Why no LED lamps for Surefire G2/6P etc. Accidents happen, but I just don't find myself dropping stuff much. Maybe it was the Drill Sgt's who always made us do pushups when we dropped something, but I try to hang on to expensive stuff, and lanyard when possible.
