Unknown behavior Maha C9000 with some Ni-Mh's

You're not alone. That happened to me a few times with my first C9000 when I first received it, back in November 2013. Both units have worked without incident since then. No idea what caused it. My best guess is something to do with seating the batteries or maybe batteries with high resistance.

NLee the Engineer tests the new Duracell Ion Core

I bought a set of the AA and AAA. Did a Discharge, let the batteries rest, Refresh/Analyze to determine capacity, followed by a Break in on a C9000. AA 1 2380 mAh 2 2385 mAh 3 2360 mAh 4 2376 mAh AAA 1 783 mAh 2 781 mAh 3 767 mAh 4 770 mAh Any recommendations on how I might improve the results?

Good purpose for owning a light?

Bi-focal contact lenses are great in normal light. But they don't do well in low light situations. Like reading a receipt at a dimly lit restaurant. It's nice not having to ask somebody to read the receipt for me.

Air travel barometric stress & SF

I wouldn't expect flashlight manufacturers to ship their products from one continent to another by air either. I was trying specify that domestic retailers will ship flashlights to our homes by air. BTW, I've experienced the "freeze over" you mentioned in your previous post. Purchased an Apple...

Air travel barometric stress & SF

I can't imagine it being an issue. Flashlights get shipped from the retailers to our homes successfully.

    ArmorAll on rubber switch boots?

I'm inclined to agree with either ozone/oxidation or flex fatigue. I had an auto detailing book that suggested once you start applying poly-penetrates to something like a dash you have to keep applying it on more frequent basis. That seemed to be my experience in the mid nineties. To be fair...

Spray Paint got on my Flashlight

Rubbing alcohol might work. Avoid the lens and buttons. Good luck. Edit: From personal experience, this happened to my parents. I had bought them a Fenix E21 to replace an old 2D Maglite. They had some sort of contractors over, who needed to borrow a flashlight and they got house paint all over...

    Fenix Diffuser ?

I have the short version. It's well made and functions well. Concerns, the hard plastic prongs are more likely to fatigue and break. Probably more likely to wear off the finish on the flashlight. The probe look is sort of unappealing. Some day, somebody will realize this and design a...

    LD12 - LD22 - 1 battery vs 2 batteries performance at low settings

According to the Fenix site the runtime for the LD12 (1 AA) at 3 lumens is 97 hours and the LD22 (2 AA's) at 3 lumens is 110. Can anyone help a newbie understand why the runtime for the 2 AA flashlight isn't longer? I'm guessing it has something to do with the regulated power.
