    Yes i've tried to put in parallel .The 100w led . the 400w halogen and it blink briefly but the battery "see" the halogen with is no resistance and cut is power Perhaps your idea of resistor ???

    I've seen very good results with SST 90 (2300lumens) But definitly too weak.... Your're right with 8000 LEd wich is very larch but good optic could collect most of light.
