i personally wouldn't recommend it. just a couple of leds in a maglite body. they are horribly alligned, and it doesn't even say what kind they are...heck, they could be they could be the cheap ones from radio shack for all we know.

Ten LED's doesn't give much light, but with 3 D cells, should last forever on a set of batteries.

It would be nice if they could make the kit so it would fit a 2D Maglite, to keep the size down. I can't see why not; they are doing it with 2AA cells now.

. A drop in module for a 2D/2C Maglite would also allow for 'mass marketing', since there are hundreds of thousands of Maglites in use, usually with the stock lamp.
