10 Led Aluminum Light on eBay

Has anyone tried one of these 10 Led Aluminum Flashlights on eBay??

i personally wouldn't recommend it. just a couple of leds in a maglite body. they are horribly alligned, and it doesn't even say what kind they are...heck, they could be they could be the cheap ones from radio shack for all we know.

Ten LED's doesn't give much light, but with 3 D cells, should last forever on a set of batteries.

I would wait and see if Opalec comes out with a mod for the larger Mags.

I wish Opalec would do that!! Maybe stuff 12-15 regulated LEDs into a drop in mod for a 3d.....

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">That's a great idea, I wonder if Opalec has considered it. It might not sell as well as the AA model, but I'm sure it would be profitable.

It would be nice if they could make the kit so it would fit a 2D Maglite, to keep the size down. I can't see why not; they are doing it with 2AA cells now.

. A drop in module for a 2D/2C Maglite would also allow for 'mass marketing', since there are hundreds of thousands of Maglites in use, usually with the stock lamp.
