Sold/Expired 3AA, 6AA, 9AA & 12AA Fivemega battery holders

Hi all...love these forums and am just getting into modding.
I would like to build a m*g85 and I think I can get all of the parts here: 9aa-3d adapter, WA1185 bulbs, Boro lens, Bi-focal reflector, G4 bi-pin socket.
My noob question is...can I still use the stock M*g switch or do I need to replace that? (I would have PM'ed fivemega directly, but can't PM yet...I think I'm still on double secret probation.)

WA1185 will pull about 3.3 Amps powered by 9 NiMH AAs and original M*g "C" or "D" switch can easily take it without need of any replacement or modification.

Uhm this is a question for the history books, but how does the positive terminal make it all the way out of that little "charging" hole and mate with the positive terminal of my maglite?

I'm sorry I'm just not getting how all of this fits together, it would be really nice if there was an original development thread which shows how everything goes together, but parting with $40 without knowing /exacltly/ how it dismantles is kind of iffy and is the only thing holding me back from buying one, that and funds, hehe.

Macro shots would be great.

From here it just looks like its got two negative terminals on both ends and its some weird battery adapter from another world where their physics laws are completely whacked and weird.

I know how the battery packs wire up, I'm just concerned about the terminals.

The Charging end is the negative and the other end is the positive. The small copper post you hold on to when assembling mates perfectly to the positive termanal on the mag switch housing. Look into your mag and you will see a small spring up by the switch thats what the positive touches. The neg passes through the spring into the body of the flashlight.
