This is a great light- I do not have a LF2 to compare it to, But it is brighter than my Fenix L0D CE (one of the first ones). The PWM is not noticeable at all, even on the lowest mode. Anodizing appears to be top notch.

This light is able to use Li-Ion or NiMH, and has over discharge protection. With the variable, high frequency PWM, this light seems like the perfect edc for me. It would be VERY nice to see a 2 AAA body for this light, turning it into a GREAT light in the "penlight" category!

It is pulse width modulation. It is pretty much the driver sending bursts of power to the led, rather than a constant on function.

The faster the frequency gets, the less noticable it is. It is used for dimming the LED, making it use less average power, by driving the LED at the same power over a shorter time interval.
