At last my TK75vn QUAD SSST40 SD IS HERE!

Typical of GOD testing my patience- The regular mailman[delivers ~10:30 or 11:00] was on vacation. What does a flashaholic do?

Once 1 pm arrived I called the PO and they estimated his arrival. He was an hour later than the estimate 2 pm,,,so I tracked him down w/ the GPS info the supervisor at the PO gave me!!!! I intercepted the package in another neighborhood saving me time. Why such insanity? it is imperative for me to do a MAX run time test b/4 I use the light. This light uses a lot of juice,glad I got the run time test done!

I hope to have some beam shots tonight.

MAX RUNTIME TEST:

Batteries:BRAND NEW LG MJ1 Unprotected BT
Starting Voltage:4.20v
Rest Intervals: 10 Minutes
Loft Temp. 68F

7Min=3.91V
12 Min=3.77V
20Min=3.58V

I will be using it on 50% and 70% a lot!

You would have to ask him. I had the same question because on the website it simply stated unprotected batteries only. It did not specify. The only reason I could get out of him is he said he doesn't want the light to get any more than 10 amps and he designed it for the LG mj-1. My belief is he had problems with the D1vn. That light uses the same LED as this light. The vtc5a was giving too many amps and some of the LEDs failed.

For others who may be meticulous, mildly obsessed with "Numbers" and who strive to be efficient in knowing their batteries limits and their lights capabilities within those limits.

For the ones who fit that category, HERE are the numbers using LG MJ1 in my TK75vn SST4O SD.

I did Three separate run time tests 100%/75%/50%

The minutes are CUMULATIVE with REST periods after each increment.


100% MODE:

Starting Voltage=4.20v
Rest intervals:=10 min.
Loft.Temp.=68F

7 Min=3.91V
12 Min=3.77V
20 Min=3.58V

75% MODE

Starting Voltage=4.20V
Loft Temp.=63F
Rest intervals:7 Min

7Min=4.01V
14 Min=3.87V
22 Min=3.74V
30 Min=3.62V

50% Mode

Starting Voltage=4.20V
Loft Temp.= 63F
Rest Intervals=5 Min.

10 Min=4.03V
20 Min=3.89V
30 Min=3.79V
40 Min=3.67V
50 Min=3.59V


For 30 minutes of usage it looks like 10 Min. of TURBO, 8 Min of 75% and ~ 12 minutes or so of 50%!

Not sure how you took these photos but if you phone is an LG there is a very good manual mode. The best of any camera phone. I have a LG G6 ;-)

OK,,Thanks,I use HDR MODE-High definition range.

My phone is LG K20V Came out last spring.

I tried the other[regular setting] and it did not work well.

To be more specific regarding your question.

This is HOW I take my pictures.

My Left foot is stepping on CAPO'S leash :laughing: I have the camera in my left hand and the torch in my right hand.:wave:

It definitely is hard to keep steady. I probably delete 10 pictures for every good one. A combo of perfectionism[with what I have in terms of a camera] and not so clear pictures.

I was kind of the first person who received the early tk75vn sst40 dedome. Required vtc5a and designed for it... when i tried to use it with lg mj1, the light will not work.. it will not let me change modes... my light is design for the high drain battery.. so i am using sony vtc6.
