I'm not sure of CPF allows direct links to BLF project topics, but we now have a BLF LT1M (Mini) being born.. it will have the same features as the full size LT1, but much smaller single 21700 format size for back-packing and can be carried in a pocket, will match or better the lumens than any mini lantern of its size-class (350 to 400 lumens on max.)

Interesting. I searched for BLF LT1M and didn't get a result.

edit: ok, I searched BLF LT1M (Mini) in bing and hit pay dirt.

Btw I am not up to date on the LT1 thread, do you have accessories for it out yet?

That is still in the works, but due to some life's obstacles i been hitting over the last few months i had to delay that. the accessory kit is still planned though.

I like that it can apparently be used with between one and four cells. Are the slots diode isolated from one another?

They are not separated with diodes, so make sure to put all the batteries in the right direction.

A single cell is fine. At the top of the ramp, even with all the jumpers bridged for max output, it draws less than 3A.

We have discussed the plans for a LT1-Mini for a future project, (one that uses a single 18650 or 21700, and is much smaller for backpackers & camping with limited gear space.
This is what I'm waiting for, he LT1-Mini. I've watched your videos in YT and I think this is really a great project to proceed. Hope its in 21700 / 18640 platform

The original LT1, what can I say? The interface, the multi-hue, the utility. I tested mine after reading about someone bragging how long it would run... turned it on low on Dec 1, now on March 4 and it's still showing 3.5 volts! I have two and a couple additions to them, one now has a 3d printed 'shade' and stand, both have magnets that are meant to use with a camera, they screw into the side and will hang the light on anything steel, (available on Amazon for about $12.) I liked my first one so much, I bought a second! A short one next? Maybe!

If anyone has a LT1 Mini and is into 3D printing, I have a multi-function base/stand that makes it a lot less tippy and provides for several methods of mounting inverted for overhead light, along with mounts for a neodymium magnet and a 1/4-20 nut for mounting on a tripod up on printables:

I also have a diffuser if you want different colors or just to get rid of the dark spot when inverted:
