this spider was in our shack when we were on vacation in the Philippines. This sucker was around 5" toe-to-toe (?) and very quick. I have seen this kind of spider before but never knew the name.

Dude, that thing landed on my head one time when I was young boy in the Philippines. Those suckers are pretty huge and they can run like crazy! I really don't like spiders too much, and don't respond to them nicely either ;-)
But, they're rather common spiders in the Philippines. We used to have them all over the house.
