I will say that it's pretty convenient to have a nice smartphone cam, when you don't wanna pack your gear...
But, there's still a big difference in the joy of going out with a purpose built item and strictly taking shots for the joy of it.
I'd never want to give that up.
We can compare specs all day, but when it comes down to it, my pictures are better out of an actual camera because of my headspace more than anything.
I never go out just to shoot because my phone takes good pics. I've had great days finding neat stuff because I went out exploring with my camera.
