Nice light - seems to tick all the boxes for a 2AA light.

Why is that such an appealing form factor?

AA is a nice convenient size rather than 18650. I'm open to persuasion though

As much as I love the high performance lights needing li-ion, AAs are so easy convenient and robust. 2AA is my favourite form factor to hold (just the right length and a comfortable size of tube), but my personal preference is for single cell lights (as you can run them on whatever you can find - no matching required) so currently my ideal light is a 1AA.
