Re: Custom Delrin Button Covers for Sunwayman V10R Ti +

Mine arrived yesterday, and I installed it today. Big improvement: smooth operation now. Thank you, Will.

I've had mine in for a few days and I'd say its a vast improvement over stock. No binding or scratching, better sound and feel.

If you hit the tail cap right on the edge it won't activate, but you have to try to get it to not activate.

Big thumbs up

Got mine and it's gone into a sunwayman v10r Ti2. That's was quick for regular airmail shipping to the UK.
"Does exactly what it says on the tin" - thanks

Like mine very much--works well.
Would it be appropriate to add a drop of 5w Nano-oil?
Also, I'm thinking a tactile slight hollow on the surface
would provide instant placement assistance as would a slightly raised spot
like the one on a '5' key.
Thanks for the Goodie!
Regards, Chuck

Thank you - glad it is also working for you. Nano-oil would not affect the Delrin - it is slippery enough as is, and any oil will attract dust/debris, etc., so I am not sure I would use it. Then again, give it a try - it might work well.

Your idea is interesting. Making an indentation is not recommended as the Delrin is not very thick, but if the switch were slightly higher overall (thicker on top), then adding a slight indentation might work, but it would prevent the button from sitting flush with the tailcap.

Making a raised spot is perfectly doable - the only problem is that with a raised surface the button cover would no longer be flush with the tailcap, and it would make it slightly easier for momentary activation to occur by accident. Not a "huge" deal, but worth keeping in mind.

Everything is a compromise :D

Post #2 updated. Looks like all 4x of them are accounted for. Sounds like I need to get busy and make some more.
