Newly Enlightened
The battery in my LR40R went completely dead after sitting in the flashlight for a couple of months without turning it on. Zero volts on any of the four terminals. I took it apart and noticed that the four 18650 cells are wired in parallel with a circuit board between the positive battery terminals and the positive terminals on the board; sort of a pass-through system between each cell and the light itself. I'm assuming that the board is some kind of current distibution device that balances battery output. Has anyone else had such a failure? I've located a source for a replacement (over $100) but I don't want to buy a new battery if this is a chronic LR40R problem.
