Just for fun, I am not going to reveal what the part is for.

And while it is still a mystery, I will offer up to 10 units for a discounted price of $20 USD each.

Once I reveal what it is for, or when a CPFer receives a part, the price will be increased back to what it should be.
OH, cool, so I buy a part that I don't know what it's for, may not work for what I intend it to, and then I can resell it for the higher "official" price? Sounds fishy to me, at best.

The mystery tubes are very tempting. Unless it's a L1D body I dont' think I've got anything it could possibly fit.

It looks like it could be a CR123 body for the CR2 Ion.

Hmmm, That would suck since i dont have one of those. Unless the heads are going to be offered as well.

It looks too big for an Ion

Re: FS: Mystery battery body(s)

What about a hint? Some dimensions? Some of us are too poor to spend $20 on a part we might not be able to use.:ohgeez:

It looks like a CR123 version of an Orb...My blind hope would be a body for the Jetbeam C-LE, but then, I'd hope it was CR2...

Gotta love the angles they're shot at...especially with the batteries sitting there to compare with...speculation is always fun, so what does everyone think? Smaller (narrower) than the batteries shown right?

It looks to me like they will hold a CR123a, but it is hard to tell. Most interesting sale post i've seen.

Re: FS: Mystery battery body(s)

Kind of look like the rare 'Larry light' body in CR123 or even somewhat like KI bodies but obviously were not done by the master. I like bodies like this with all the knurling but bare aluminum with no anodizing, probable imperfections and no idea what it's for ??

Re: FS: Mystery battery body(s)

I dunno, but there are clearly threads on the inside of the battery tube. That means that heads like Arc LS, HDS, Fenix L series, Surefire E series, Minimag and probably many others aren't going to fit.

I'll pass on buying one, but I'm certainly enjoying the show.

Re: FS: Mystery battery body(s)

It must be a CR123A twistie body for a CR2 light, or that CR2 battery wouldn't be in the photo as a clue. Not an an Orb, as the threading is wrong and it's too big anyway. Too big for an Ion.

C'mon, Yclo, wtf is it?
