You shined a high power green laser at a rotating disco ball with your shirt off???

I don't think allergic reaction due to:
fever
"spots" not "lumps" or "bulges"

I've had systemic strep, but I'm guessing chickenpox! (Only thing that took me down on a tour in Vietnam. Got some ossifer kicked out of a private room on the USS Sanctuary, (quarantine) and 2-weeks short of the end of my enlistment!) Wait until the scabs/itch happen! My local Corpsmans initial diagnosis was malaria due to the fever and he refused my insistance that I had been religiously taking the orange mofo pill! Get well!

What's so sad is if it is chicken pox, there is supposed to be a vaccine. Wish there was one when I was growing up.

I'm more than a little concerned that he hasn't posted!

That implies he is unable to post. That might imply he has been hospitalized.

The blotches are not consistent with chicken pox papules, however, adult chicken pox can have some unique presentations and can be VERY serious, even life threatening, esepcially if they get into the lungs.

However, at this point, if he isn't home, I still am most concerned about streptococcal septicemia or possibly meningococcemia.

I agree that it doesn't look like chicken pox. Maybe Hives??? Hopefully it's not that serious and 3rd-shift is o.k. and will be posting soon.

Unfortunately, I didn't get chicken pox until fairly late in life. It's definatley not fun when your older and get them. they were truly miserable. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Chances are, he's already had Chicken Pox. If that's the case, then it'd probably he Shingles.

Based on some of the other symptoms he described, I doubt it's either.

Not shingles, affects both sides of his body, shingles is unilateral.

The mystery continues!!

This sounds like a Strep infection that may have advanced to Scarlet Fever.

I am no doctor... but, it doesn't look like the 24-hour walking Ebola virus. At least, he is OK in that regard.
