I wonder if they make different length LED tubes yet like 2 foot and 18 inch ones these could be a good alternative in places like over the kitchen sink and range hood.

That's nice, but I've never had or seen a 3' fluorescent light around but in perhaps a fancy store.

I was thinking of price only. that's it! (Well I DO like "warm white" also)
Linear tubes for modding, & rv building. Mount your own tombstones at the 3 foot mark...

Yes. Maybe not as cheap as above tho.

looks like we will have to wait longer to replace smaller fluorescent tubes the pricing of these is too high making one instead consider native LED solutions instead.

Went to the next phase on testing LED tubes at the Dallas Makerspace - upgraded 6 fixtures. 3 scattered about our workshop and the other 3 were in a room with 3 fixtures. Positive impressions so far from those polled on the subject - all had to be told that the fixtures had been upgraded and felt they were slightly better than what they replaced.

I did make a mildly annoying discovery on the isolated room - there is indeed some flicker as evidenced by brightness banding on the smartphone. Given that we're largely replacing magnetic ballasts that also flicker I doubt this will cause any issues with our members.
