Went to the next phase on testing LED tubes at the
Dallas Makerspace - upgraded 6 fixtures. 3 scattered about our workshop and the other 3 were in a room with 3 fixtures. Positive impressions so far from those polled on the subject - all had to be
told that the fixtures had been upgraded and felt they were slightly better than what they replaced.
I did make a mildly annoying discovery on the isolated room - there is indeed some flicker as evidenced by brightness banding on the smartphone. Given that we're largely replacing magnetic ballasts that also flicker I doubt this will cause any issues with our members.
