Just getting started

I am taking the plunge into rechargables. I have RCR 16340 and an 18650 with the Pila charger on its way to me. THis may sound dumb, How do I measure the voltage and where can I get this tool?

Hello Akajimmy,

You need a voltmeter. The + end goes on the + end of the battery and the - end goes on the - end of the battery. Be sure to choose a suitable range before taking the measurement.

Voltmeters are available at hardware stores, electronic stores, and on line, and come in a variety of price ranges.

Thanks for your help. I went to Radio Shack. THe young lady behind the counter asked if I needed help. I said yes, told her I needed a Volt meter. She went to where the multi meters were. She says, we don't have any. :sigh: I spotted a Pocket muilt meter. She had walked away immediately after that. Grabbed the pocket multi meter. Proceeded to go home and start testing my batteries. :twothumbs
