No guesses, but I can tell you which one works better!

After decades manufacturing small knurled fasteners by the millions, I've known a few knurls in my day.
Of all the photos, "A" would provide the best grip. A "proper" knurl will have the distictive "volcano-like" dimple in the middle of the high point.

Some of the others may be prettier, but "A" will grip the best, whatever light it happens to be on!

its not a peak, but it is a light that is

A) discontinued
B) comes up one once in awhile when peak/arc is mentioned for AAA lights.
C) is still available, just that thier not being made anymore.
