I bought a couple of lumens factory e series heads a while back and tonight went to put a couple of torches together using them and noticed one of the heads rattled.

If I grip the spring and turn the head clockwise it stops it from rattling but it easily turns back and rattles again.

Obviously I can't really torque it up using the spring. The other head is rock solid no rattle.
This head has never been used so if any one knows how I can tighten up the gubbins inside the head it will be greatly appreciated.

Try sending Mark@LF a PM. He'll take care of you.

Offhand -- the LF E-series head is actually a host to a small drop-in. Try hand-tightening or loosening the top bezel. Maybe a minor misalignment on the drop-in inside the host is causing it to rattle. Just try to reset it, and re-tighten.

I had a similar problem, but it was with a LumensFactory KL4 head. The advice Mark gave me was:
"Simply unscrew the bezel ring and you should be able to access the internals."
Maybe this also works for your KL1, it definitely solved my issues, I was able to secure the dropin after opening the head.
