Re: Mag 3300L

That is very nice Mac. I really like the fact that it could run on two cells.

What finish is that on the Mag? Is that is pewter Mag?

The host started out as a 4d Silver Mag. The body was cut down to an overall length of 6.5".

Re: Mag 3300L

Did I mention this thing is bright :)

-3x Lux-RC 3x XP-G boards 1100 LED Lumens Each :)
-Custom Heatsink
-Powered by 2x 4000mah Li-Ion Cells
-Current Draw 55ma Low 810ma Medium 4.5a High
-10 Amp Tail Switch

Hmm I could offer this as a Mag Drop-in with a 2d size light using the stock switch :)

Make it with warm emitters in a C-Mag sized drop-in, and I'm in.

Re: Mag 3300L

I'd take a complete light, ready to send paypal anytime!

Edit -- I would want 4500K LEDs. I keep checking this thread looking for more info. I have not wanted a light more than this one in a very long time!

Beautiful Light! I'm really starting to like those Lux-RC L332 light engines. Are they durable? How well do they handle abuse?

I changed the rubber boot on a 9P with a Triple, the rubber boot still had rests of a nipple inside and that was enough to press the McClicky to make contact without me knowing. The light had a plain bezel and stood on the head, it was powered by 2 x IMR 18490 which were quite fully charged.

I noticed because the light flickered once, the cells were completely depleted. The lens had moisture on its inside and was foggy, that was the only "damage" on the light and it means the whole thing got HOT. The Triple is fine, everything clear, it looks like it still has the same power as it had before, I can't see any damage. The light engines have a thermal protection at 120°, no idea if it kicked in during the catastrophe. I tried it afterwards about a quarter of an hour constantly, it works perfectly.

I don't know if this unvoluntary torture test has any significance about the durability and the toughness of those boards, but for sure they are not bad!
