Re: Maglite 2D powder coat, white, yellow, green metalflake

Let me see if I still have all the colors - it is red, orange, and yellow. I hadn't plannned on doing anything like this again - but - yours is the second - so - I think I will give it a try again. It is actually easier to do a few at the same time.

that is a 3D size - mine has has a MagLED and a glass lens - I like the light myself..

How much would the yellow to red one be in a 3 cell?

Can you do Mag C (3 cell)?

I can do any size light - I cure them in my oven - The sizes that are available locally are 2D, 2C, 3D, 4D, 2AA, Any other size has to be ordered and will add 7 days to turnaround time.

The 3D tri-color would be $50.50

shipping to the UK would be: 1 pound 6 ounce package

priority 6-10 days $24
first class - time varies - $13.60

Yesterday I added tri-colors to be custom powder coated. I have a number of other colors available as well.

I just did this one - It is a powder blue color with 'Glow In The Dark' powder added. The mix creates a speckle finish - you have to look real close to see it. It does glow in the dark - very faint - I reshaped the maglite head and put in a few grooves. This is originally a dark green light.

I got my 3D and 2AA yellow->orange-red fade lights today and they really look good. Pictures don't do them justice.

Thanks will! :twothumbs

I do not have flat olive green (texture green) And I have not seen it anywhere, Eastwood has the largest selection of powder colors, they have olive drab, but I think it is a gloss color, not flat.

edit --- I did a search and I can not find a flat olive powder coat finish.
You might want to check out duracoat - This is a gun finish system - they make an olive drab color. I do not do duracoat.

here are some pictures of what I have -

initially it was an interest question :)

I'm thinking about (for example) a clearcoat 3D, such as Mirage_man has up for sale right now. Also a 2AA; Alu is not the kind of thing I'd like to leave open to the elements and I know what it's like to keep shiny - I polished my car wheels a while back.
What would the turnaround and costs be like? Any thoughts about issues caused by finning? I'll be honest, it's not for right now, but hopefully the near future.
