Just a thought…
Have you considered offering the Mini-Maglite AA Drop-in kit in a 5th run, this time with the newer Cree XM-L U2 bin emitter?
If possible, I and I'd gather a good number of other CPF's members would be interested in purchasing

The problem is the battery. 2AA is not good for high current output like li-ion.
Step-Up driver output max. would be 1-1.5A only.
And the drop-in heatsink is too small for huge current like 2.6A.
XP-G is pretty comfortable for it.
Sorry, not very practical.

Maybe drop-in for Mag C & D are more suitable.

What if 1 or 2 14500 LiIons or LiFePo batteries were used? There are a lot of AA lights with XM-l's out there now -

JAS, try to swap the 2D led to miniMagled, they should interchangeable.

I did not know you had such a run going on. Saw a couple of Mini Mag with digital camo in a local store here and they are beautiful. I then thought of drop-in possibilities and did a search which led me here. If you do consider doing another run on warm white I would definitely be in.
