And with a quote like this from the blurb on officer.com, it's not possible to resist :)

Nitecore P36, one that designed to help you identify and keep threats at bay by raining down terror on the unsuspecting like an Armageddon flame, and serves as the harbinger of justice.

Re: **NEW** Nitecore P36 (2*18650, XM-L U2, 900lm)

Received the P36 yesterday, just in time for my last night shift. 11 days for free postage is a pretty good turnaround, I think. Didn't use it as much as I'd hoped, but so far I like it.

Nice wide beam and plenty bright, this thing seems ideal for sweeping houseblocks. I stood on a roof looking for some people, could see the entire front yards of houses quite easily with lots of light. Range is more than adequate for the urban environment. Fits in a back pocket well, that's my preferred carry. It came with a holster that would be fine for lots of people, but I don't think it would fit well, if at all, on a duty belt. Probably a bit large to keep one on the belt permanently anyway.

I like the idea of the rotary adjustment switch, a little bit of practice and one handed operation is fine. I'd prefer the strobe was simply a turbo switch, I don't really have a use for strobe but that's just me. I've found the shape sits quite comfortably in my hand. So far, this looks like it will be quite a versatile light, although I've yet to test its penetration into vehicle cabins through tinted windows. Hopefully the big hotspot won't make it difficult to see inside vehicles on approach, either.

Hi,
how long time about the step down from turbo mode? And how many lumens are about after step down?

It has active thermal management system which means it steps down when it gets too hot.

Thanks! I know it! :)
But what does mean it in fact?
About how many minutes can I use the turbo mode in temperature 20 °C (no wind, no rain)?

Noone knows, you need to test it. It's longer when you're hoiding it in your hand because your body works as a radiator. There is probably some difference between P36s because there are no two identical flashlights.

Re: Nitecore P36 2000 lumen MT-G2.

The new 4-7s MMU-X3R doing 2000 lumens in one-minute burst mode makes this item look interesting.

Misplaced my Fenix TK35UEvn somehow. It was a great, smallish 2x 18650 MT-G2 2500 OTF lumen light that was one of my favorite backpacking lights, so I've been looking for something similar to replace it. I Found Vinh had a few of the P36 mildly modified and with several options, so ordered a P36vn. Should be here soon and I'll see how it compares to my wife's TK35UEvn. Dimensions are slightly larger than the TK35UE, except for head diameter, but the nitecore interface allows much more adjustability.

Turn the dial counterclockwise then within 3 seconds turn it on for instant turbo. What happens if you don't touch the dial prior to turning it on- last mode it was on? A default mode? Obviously can't leave it preselected to a level with the dial.
