I think CPF members should be hired to run Surefire CS!

We seem to know more about their products than their employees at times..

Wonder whats going on here?........

They did write "version." So maybe its the same emitter and electronics without a TIR. I'm happy with the old Lux Vs and want a thrower.

Too each his/her own.

sad sad story..

The distributor just email me. Surefire L4 wont hit UK share till April.. omg I have to wait for 2 months...

Imagine if the LX2, LX1, A2L were to release in March 09, then it will be a longer wait for ppl in the UK...sighhh...

Most people have come to know the current single die Seoul's as P4's, and yes P4 could be a U bin, U2, or V with various tints and vf's. P4 by itself does not tell too much.

Wow! I just found this thread. Pretty cool! Love the L4. I feel bad for people that never experienced a good L4 or L4 at all. My first one had a bad tint and the donut hole was terrible, sold. The second one, an anniversary present from my wife, is perfect. Nice creamy tint and no donut hole. Really nice!

I'm glad they are keeping a reflector. :) I'm not a big fan of optics just because of the beam characteristics I've experienced. An L4 with optics would cease to be an L4 to me unless they matched the flood. I also love being able to see the emitter, they are always so cool looking!

Just wondering if anyone has picked up a new L4 yet?

Wondering if we should expect the beam pattern to be identical to the upcoming A2L and AZ2?

The high output specs are the same and it doesn't appear that any of these lights are using a TIR optic...

Thanks!

i have my SF L4 at surefire since last week for repair.

talked to a guy called Greg at SF.

i am not kidding....and i was very dissapointed

with this light....totally off-centered Led, ( massive DONUT ! )

worse then any !! of the Husky 4w lights i sorted through. no joke.

the light gave up after 10 sets of batteries ( only SF used )

the lightoutput.....wass nothing but a joke.

i told them i am hoping that they will replace the Led with the upgrade

ones.

i would never spend the $ 160 for this light again.

the light itself / housing.....size and feel....a dream.
