reading instructions is always a good starting point.

Understanding the reasons why is even better.

The pack you have above doesn't have a balance connector wired.

I'm a fan of balancing packs and there are two ways for you to go.
1) wire a standard connector like a JST
or
2) use a balancing PCM

Either is effective I prefer the latter.

Do I really need this wire I mean what's the worse that could happen , kill the battery pack?
Tony

Balancing simply ensures that all the cells of the pack are equally charged.
No it's not required and no the lack of it will not kill the pack. It may shorten the life of the pack, but it's not life threatening.

Just "charge" you pack with the + and - leads and don't worry about balancing.

Hi guys just doing a burn test using this pack , what is the procedure for burn time, do I just keep going to the light goes out...or turn of when the battery reaches a certin AMP ?
I'm thinking the PCB will cut the light of...
Don't want to damage the pack...

Make sure you do it while the light in is a bucket of water. Turn light on and wit until it dims.

Could be, although I would expect with 2500mah cells to be more like 4-5 hours. Cycle the switch on and off and make sure it's on the high mode. That is a 5 mode light. Three brightness and 2 strobes.

Today I started to finish the battery Pack burn time I end the discharge at 8hrs 30 min...
I am surprised at the length of Burn time, won't need to charge to often :).

Tony, you would need to clip the snap to the handle. I am not sure I would clip it where you have it as it could cause some strain on the cable. Good luck with it tomorrow, looks good!
