Hello guys

Here is the newest Klarus light. First impressions:

+ excellent build quality (very similar than Jetbeam RRT series and Sunwayman lights)
+ excellent anodizing and color
+ smooth threads
+ high quality, clean, dust free reflector and lens
+ comfortable UI
+ nice, strong holster

- a little bit noisy driver
- slightly pwm flickering low and medium modes, but I can't see when I use in outdoor

Official site, user manual and box say: 10lm (180h), 310lm (5.5h), 820lm (1.8h) and 29000cd (max. 360m)
This light has more than 29000cd. It's sure.

I think, this is the correct specs,

Features:

  • Specially designed deep parabolic reflector produces a perfect beam profile and super long throw ability. Intended applications include Military, Law Enforcement, Hunting, Exploration, Security, Search & Rescue, etc
  • Uses a Cree XM-L U2 LED, which delivers a maximum output of 820 ANSI lumens
  • Max run time: 208 hours
  • Beam throw ability: 400 meters
  • New circuit design delivers both high lumen output and long runtime
  • Dual button tail switch for quick, one-hand operation. No need to fiddle with switches in two different places
  • Strobe can be activated with the Mode switch when the flashlight is on or off, giving instant access to Strobe from any mode
  • Detachable stainless steel strike bezel
  • Reverse polarity protection protects flashlight and battery from damage
  • Maintains constant brightness with super high efficiency

Specification:

  • CREE XM-L (U2) LED with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours
  • Three lighting modes and 1 flashing mode:
    • Lighting modes: 820 ANSI lumens (2 hrs) --- 150 lumens (13.4 hrs) --- 10 lumens (208 hrs)
    • Variable frequency strobe: 820 lumens (4 hrs)
  • Working Voltage: 7V - 14V
  • Battery: 4x CR123A / 2x 18650 (use of 16340 batteries is not recommended)
  • Body color: Military grey
  • Reflector: Deep smooth reflector
  • Tactical main switch for turning the light on and off. Momentary activation from off
  • Dedicated mode switch for instant access to strobe and changing modes
  • Lens: Toughened ultra-clear glass
  • Material: Aircraft grade aluminum 6061-T6
  • Dimensions: 248.1mm (Length) x 58mm (Head) x 25.4mm (Body)
  • Net weight: 273g (Excluding battery)
  • Waterproof to IPX-8 Standard (underwater to 2 meters)
  • Included accessories: Holster, lanyard, metal tactical ring and two spare o-rings

Note: The above-mentioned parameters are approximate and may vary between flashlights,
batteries and environments. Data was achieved using SANYO 18650 2600 mAh lithium ion
batteries.

Operation:

  • To activate constant-on, press tail/ higher switch fully so that it clicks. To turn the flashlight off, press tail switch fully so that it clicks.
  • Changing brightness levels: When the flashlight is on, press the Mode switch and then release it immediately; the brightness mode will change: High – Medium - Low.
  • Strobe access: With the flashlight turned off, press the Mode switch for instant access to strobe. With the flashlight turned on, press the Mode switch for more than 0.6 of a second to access strobe. Release Mode switch within 2 seconds to return to your previous lighting mode. Holding the Mode switch for more than 2 seconds will lock the light in strobe mode. Pressing the Mode switch will stop the strobe mode and return the light to its previous lighting mode.
  • Momentary activation: lightly press the main tail switch with no click.

great pictures and beamshots,thanks.
I can not decide instead those beamshots-which flashlight throw further? the Klarus XT30? or the Olight SR51?
because I want to buy for me a new (and my first) thrower flashlight, and I can not decide which flashlight to buy-the XT30 or the Sunwayman T40CS?
I prefer the UI of the XT30,it's look better than the UI of the T40CS... (quick access to strobe etc.) but,Klarus said that the XT30 has ANSI beam distance of 380 meters, and the T40CS has ANSI beam distance of 440 meters...
how is the throw of the XT30 compared to other throwers? (Sunwayman T40CS,Olight M3X etc.)
is it good thrower?
thanks advance...

That Tactical ring in the photo where all of the bits supplied in the box are laid out looks the same as the one on the Klarus XT11 that I had plenty of discussion on.

It was a piece of rubbish that broke on many lights for no reason.

I hope they have strenghtened it as Klarus promised many months ago but it looks exactly the same piece of weak plastic.

I love my XT11 and it stays in my manbag all the time.

I built a stronger ring made of tough thicker ABS plastic, no more problems.

Let's see if any tactical ring complaints come in about this model.

Cheers

If you can come up with the extra money check out the ThruNite TN31

Do you have an XT11 by chance? I have looked at videos of the XT30 tube and it looks to be the same diameter, and the o-ring placement and threading looks to be exact. This means an XT11 owner that gets an XT30 will also now be able to use the XT30 body and screw on the XT11 head and poof, instant 2 - 18650 extension tube for the XT11....or put 2 RCR123's in the XT11 body and screw the XT30 head onto it and poof, instant mini-thrower.

I would really like to know if my theory is correct because that makes buying an XT30 for existing XT11 owners almost a done deal.

thanks, but I haven't extra money,my budget for the flashlight is about 150$ (the price of the thrunite is 200$). I prefer the UI and the design of the XT30,but I want to get the best thrower for the money, and I am not sure if the XT30 has enough throw and beam distance...

I have the TN31 and it is a great thrower of pure white U2 LED brilliance with 6 brightness levels down to moonlight nearly via the magnetic ring brightness control and strobe with rear on/off switch to turn it off completely.

3 x 18650 Li-ion batteries keep it going quite a while.

I use Panasonic 18650A 3100mah batteries.

If it is flood you want take a look at the TN30 with 3 XM-L LEDs.

The TN31 throws nearly as good as my Olight SR90 and is a lot lighter and shorter.

Cheers

I asked about the performance and the throw of the XT30,compared to other 2*18650 throwers like the Sunwayman T40CS or the Olight M3X...

Does anyone have any pictures of the Klarus XT30 with the grip ring installed? I have never been able to find a single picture of this.
