Hi

Oh well what I did was a loop with a small 550 same color to make
both ends come togheter. I will post 2 pics. It looks ok if you don't
have anything handy to finish off.
I will post today afternoon. It's very easy to do it.

on the left is the start point. use a pencil or any other thing to keep the hole opem. Braid as much you can and burn the end. ON the right you see a bigger loop. from a small piece of 550 I did a LOCK. feed the round end of small 550 into the left loop on the bracelet .Them use the burned end like a button to close the large loop end the small loop on top of it.
( make sure you use a big 550 paracord to figure out you size.I will post 2 pics
later) Like I told you looks ok for what is worth.

Ok this is how looks like. big loop on left , and small
loop on the right side with small 550 through the original small loop ( start point ) of the bracelet. it looks ok in my wrist it is flat and the burned part doesnt show too much. like I told you it works for me.

Here are some that I have made in the past

I don't make them too often anymore, but they are fun.
I and my 6 year old taught his Tiger Den how to make them about a month or so ago. Next time we may try the bracelets.

What's up there ghoStrider? Long time no talk

FINALLY able to log onto this particular thread. I keep getting "kicked out" whenever I click on this.

Great stuff going on here people! I'm in the dark about these things, that's why I bought some off of GhostRider. Excellent fobs/lanyards to be sure and am using it them to the full.

Way To Go!—Way To Go!

here is a monkeys fist.

And here is a cobra stitch with a twist. The picture doesn turn out that well because the rope is jet black. Basically instead of switching sides when you tye the knot, always keep the same strand doing the same thing. Like if the left strand goes on top the first time, do that same thing everytime in stead of switching off.

GhostRider.

I have seen those "ball knots" on your lanyards.
Could you tell me how to make those?
Trying to figure out for ages now....or at least a name?

Thx

laserbokkie, that's a "monkey fist" (aka "Turk's head"), with a marble (or other round item) core.

Thx GreenLED,
the name was the key......looks simple...am trying desperately.

A few yrs back, my ex's sister gave me one of those knots as for the key.
Was always thinking of how to make it myself. Saw it now here and decided to find out.

busy knotting
