It might be worth noting that caution should be used in one's choice of a proxy. Many are trustworthy and useful in some situations. In particular, some were useful with CPF during a time that DNS problems were occurring on many IP's DNS servers, but some proxies permitted an alternate DNS server access.
With a proxy, all data goes through the proxy. It would be reasonable then to trust any sensitive data, or security concerns, only to a proxy you've come to trust. As I said, many are trustworthy. Some aren't.
I tested some of them as to functionality, but did it through a virtual machine. They did have many functional proxies listed.
