It is not overall comparison. I'll try to answer one question:
Is it worth to spend 62$ more (or 89) if you want bright torch?
I asked it myself when I compared them at the same distance. I've expected WT1 to be noticeably brighter because of Q5 driven at 1A. That's what I saw when I turned them on (both with 18650).
Distance 5ft (1,5m)
WT1 OP, WF-400 OP (it's not green, just my :thumbsdowcamera); next WT1 SMO, WF-400 OP
Not so bad? For now.
Distance about 165ft (50m), pink clouds, street lamps on
WF-400, next WT1 OP

My answer is: if you don't want to do abuse test in real life (don't need HA-III) get WF-400. It's well built, cheap and simple (there's nothing to broke) flashlight for only 23$.
PS. But I'll stay with WT1. Why? Best lanyard I've ever been using...
