I would be willing to take two bare aluminums if you could demonstrate how 8S is accomplished with two holders  .

The extension tubes that you added, how long are they in terms of 18650 length? Like your original Elephants, there were 60 & 120 & 180mm tubes.

As you know, standard battery holder comes with two pieces center rod and one spacer to convert it from 4x18650 to 8x18650
Now there is another option to convert standard 8x18650 battery holder to 12x18650
Each extension tube is about 73mm long which is total length of 18650 plus thickness of battery spacer (68+5=73mm)

With this option, battery holder can be used as 4x18650, 8x18650 or 12x18650 any time back and forth.

I hope i didnt miss anything in reading the threads but is there an option with the battery holders to do any cells in parallel? For instance with a 4x holder to do 4p, 8x holder to do 2s/4p, and 12x holder to do 3s/4p as that would give me what ive been looking for with some good runtime :)

It depends on the layout of the terminal contacts, but I have been able to convert any of FM's previous holders between a serial and/or parallel setup...so I'm pretty sure of being able to make a 12s into 6s2p, but 4s3p may be more challenging...but in 2 holders could do 8s, 4s2p, or 1 holder 4s or 2s2p

Now we wait....the other Pachyderms are getting restless and hoarding their peanuts. :sssh:

Some of us got no other pachyderms.:mecry:
You lucky devil you.
But at least I got one on the way soon.:naughty:

I am really impressed with the covertible battery holders and the potential for anything from 4 to 16 cells S/P.
