What are your thoughts about the Zebra SC600? I just picked one up :)

The SC600 is one of those must-have lights that define the time; everyone will remember late 2011-early 2012 as the SC600 era. It's definitely not a thrower, but when you need to light up your entire backyard with a light that fits in your pocket, there's no other..

I have two Jetbeam 18650's for my M1Xm.. And charge them in the Pila smart charger from BOG. I would like to get a dedicated cell for my new SC600 in the mail starting tomorrow. Having this charger, what would be the best cell to charge in this charger and use in the SC600?

Halo, can I use my battery right when I get it or is it best to charge it first?

They usually ship charged, check the voltage first, it should be around 4 volts; if that's the case, it's ready to go. If it's under 3.6 volts, charge first.

I'm really interested in the Scorpion v2 with turbo head.. BUT, how does it stack up to Thrunites newest offering?

The new Thrunite TN11 is probably more along the lines of what you're looking for; it's a thrower as-is, no extra parts to buy, and is cheaper than the Scorpion..

Which would yield more throw? I can afford either or now. :)

Aside from money, is that the only difference?

I heard about the TN11S, you know any eta on it?

Yes, the TN11 has a smaller, plainer body, but is otherwise just a Scorpion with the Turbohead integrated. Evidence suggests the TN11S is just a TN11 with a side switch, no other differences.

How is this compared to the Armytek Predator? Throw, size, etc.

The Predator is slightly slimmer and lighter then the TN11, but they're both the same length. Throw between the two on an 18650 is basically the same, but the Thrunite pulls ahead when using two 123s. The TN11 puts out nearly double the lumens of the Armytek, so you're getting a bit more spill with your throw, and it will light an enclosed area much better.

Is it okay to use RCR123's? I've only used 18650's and AA Eneloops
