What tint is the armytek partner A1 xml? Also is it single AA operation or 14500 battery?

the armytek is a cool white , xml emmiter. According to the manual it's recommended Nimh , alkaline and lithium primaries. however when using the a 14500 it gives a warning not to be used for more than 30 minutes without active cooling. so it is possible but not for long periods of time.
