I am looking into building a mosfet switch to test 64665 bulbs. Now I am looking to see if I am going the right direction.
Digging in digikey there are tons of MOSFETs and figuring out how their differences affect this is a little overwhelming.
I am looking at this MOSFET. And reading this thread by sylathnie im not sure on the resistive values required for the resistors and their effect on this setup. Trying to use the DIY mosfet thread as a guide but I just want to ensure I am using a MOSFET that will stand up to the current required for this bulb.
In addition. Once this is done, would it be possible to put a NTC in line to facilitate soft start ? This may be another disscussion as I do not know if there are NTC's available at this voltage and current .....
