Well, you beat me! (But I posted a pic first! :nana: :D ) My proto is under 16mm dia(!) and comes out of 5/8" 7075T6 barstock. My main issue is some form of electronics should be incorporated to prevent going over 1-2? C draw on the cell. (I have no intention of going "commercial," by the way. :)

If Larry & Rob will both send me their new models, I'll happily compare them......

Re: Son Of a Raw NS

:ohgeez: There's a 14270 in there as well as regulation.
Nice work Sir.

I have kept quiet a bit of beef in the heat sink Dept, some may say different.
There is a nice chunk of copper in there, which is then connected to the alu Reflector & onto the whole case, which adds up to be a fair amount of surface area.

Still doing tests on thermal properties & wear & tear of the Nickel Silver.
Not sure how to play this, there appears to be demand??
But it was only done as a bit of show & Tell & a test of the Nic Sil.
After some thought I think the best approach for me & the original Raw is to offer this Raw NS (Nickel Silver or Now Smaller) as a first run Limited quantity(150).
They would not go on my web site unless I got left with a quantity not wanted here.
Raw NS would be sold in kit form like Raw. I.e
Raw NS
Nano Charger
One 14270 Cell
& You could subtract £3.50 if you do not want another Nano charger.
Today I Estimate the cost for this would be:
Raw NS Kit £55.00

Optional extra's will include
Tritium vial £6
14270 Cell
Lanyard or keyring Attachment
Postage £6 International £3 Uk Only.

DO NOT send any payments as it far to early to be 100% about going ahead, Purely to judge If & how many to produce.
:thanks: as always, Rob

I'd still be in at that price.
Might pass on the Tritium and the charger but nice to have options.

Would the charger come with the necessary spacers?
And is there a lens in this baby?

Yes Twice,
As with the Raw kit we supply two magnets as the spacers for charging.
Mineral Glass & O rings with Raw NS.

Since its smaller than the RAW, shouldn't cost less? :naughty:

Sure, the same way an ounce of gold should cost less than two ounces of iron. ;)

Since the QTY would be small & since I will have to turn down reflectors & since a slighty more expensive material & since O - rings & since new tooling for heat sinks & since copper instead of Alu for spacer heat sink & since new tooling for pcb & since & since & since Yeh sure they should cost less
Or short answer as Haesslich said
:)

You all are missing the 3 most important questions at this point.

1. Where is SolarFlare? :candle:
2. Is he okay? :huh2:
3. Will he be willing to do another one of his awesome lists? :bumpit:

Take Care,
mtbkndad
