Spark ST5 190NW Headlamp (XM-L 1xAA/14500) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, and more!

I recently got this light; and I've noticed bit of an update from the sample in this review. In this review the 'super' mode could only be reached with 14500 batteries. With my newer st5, I believe the super mode can now also be activated using AA. This was a pleasant surprise for me! I love being able to change the lens as well.

Only downsides I have noticed so far, is the vertical headband is too short. Also not a huge fan of this particular neutral tint (particularly when using it with the diffuser). My tint reminds me too much of the 'warm-white' CFL bulbs.

This is just unclear to me. If you do not unsrew battery cap does the st5 hold memory forever on eneloop? Same answer st6 or other spark headlampS?

Wish the Zebras h series had memory mode. Well, guess it does partially as far as between 2 submodes but still have to scroll thru major levels each turn on near as I can tell. Thanks, superb review.
