Hi, I'm interested in a couple of the 2D versions. Any cheaper if I dont want the tailcap mods?
Cheers.
p.s. are those trustfire flames a tight fit? I have 3100 panasonic cells that are slightly wider than those.

I'm using the "flaming" Trustfire 2400s in my 2D & 3D tubes, room to spare both in diameter and length, the included tailcap spring takes care of any slack. These survival tubes are the the bees knees for running 18650s in 2&3 D Mags.

Cool, so you can rattle the flames just a little? Do you think they would still fit with a thin sheet of paper wrapped around them?
I think my batteries are probably 1mm larger diameter than those. I've already done tailcap mods so dont need that bit..
Thanks for chipping in Fusion m8.

I'm interested.

How much brighter (if at all) will this be if I'm still using the stock bulb? Alternatively, is there a better bulb that I could add on if I'm using 18650s? (I've got a 3D Mag)

With 3 18650 batteries, you will be in the 11v - 12v range. You couldn't run Maglite bulbs as you would POOF instantly. With the right bulb, this could be a very bright setup.

Hi, allburger!
I just bought a 3D LED Maglite and I'm wondering how I would run an 18650 set up in it. I believe the voltage range would max out at about 4.5v but I still want to use the 3D survival tube. Would it work with a single 18650 and spacers?
Any other suggestions are welcome as I don't want to spend 20 dollars on CR123 spacers.
Cheers!
