Received L2 and L4 tails from 1dash1 yesterday.:)

I will check some dimensions tonight and report back.

The L2 is certainly too large for my stock.
I would need an interest list of about 40 peices to warrant the purchase of that size Ti stock right now.

L4 looks very similar to the E-series.

But there already are shrouds for the E-series and A/L-series tailcaps, and have been for quite a while. (Delrin, but still...)

Give us shrouds for the Z58/Z59!!! (and matching bezels for the U2, please)

I apologize, I do not have a z58 or z59 yet.
I did not know they could accept a shroud.
It looks like the have a removeable ring that holds in the switch?
If there is enough interest, I could make them from the same 1" stock that the L2 parts could be made from.

I do know a guy with a bunch of 1 1/8" stock......

wvaltkis2 seems to have this style figured out.
I am pretty sure the stock he has could be modified to fit an E1B

I can send you my U2 switch! I'd love a Ti ring for it.

:D I have taken mine apart before so I could change the button color. Now it's easy to remove.

He is planning a Surefire Ti clip run right now actually.

L2 A2 L4 U2 E1E Z57 Z58 Z59:eek:

OK OK

So, the Z58, Z59 are pretty popular.
Sarge, If you want to send one out, that is cool.

But, I won't be able to do everything at once.
Maybe the L2, and the Z59 could be the same part?? doubt it though.

BTW, I received your L2 cap yesterday.

Re: Titanium tailstand extension for E-series with bezel down clip - any interest??

No, no parts yet.

The extension could turn out something similar to this.

I would like to see this offered for the E-series, L1, and A2 for bezel down carrying. Doesn't have to be scalloped.

Hello again

The L4 and E1 tails are confirmed the same.

I will do the larger tails if you guys want them.
Still waiting on the Z59 though

I will try to get the E-tails going tomorrow.

I would like to see the Surefire L1/A2 tail extension a little wider at the butt.
Like a fat sticking out.

Would make for a more stabile tailstand. And balance the looks of the light a little better.

Same for the E series clickies.

Would it be possible?

I plan on working with 1.125" stock for the larger tails.
So, yes, the part could be flared up to 1.125"

On the E-series, I prefer to use the stock I already have.
Plus, they are nice slim lights, and the current design feels good to me.
However, if there is enough interest, maybe I'll run some fat ones also.

Maybe something liek this.

Top picture.

Also keep in mind to leave a gap so the guard can be screwed down for a watertight seal.I have some guards that dont have one and the rubber boot spins freely under the low pressure from the guard.

Send me a PM with your address. I have 2-3 U2 tailcaps laying around doing nothing, you can borrow one.

I do like that flared version.
I'll work in that direction and offer some screen shots.
My parts will definitely be built to correctly compress the rubber boot, and retain watertightness.

Thank you, but Sgtled is currently sending me a U2 tail.

What's the word chief?

I received your U2 tail on Friday. Haven't dissected it yet.
Tiny stainless screws are here.
I made a couple clips, but busted my tiny 2-56 tap last night.:shakehead
I'll have to pony up for a nicer one.

My primary machine shop is far too busy right now, I am waiting on quotes from 2 other reputable shops.

I am buying some 1.125" Ti stock for the larger tails.
I hope you guys want them:)

Hopefully, I will have a clip installed by friday to show everyone.
Maybe a CAD screenshot teaser soon.
